How to Hide Prices in WooCommerce and Collect Quote Requests

By Synova Team

For some catalogs, showing a list price is the wrong move: pricing depends on volume, customer, or negotiation, and a public number either scares buyers off or undercuts your reps. Hiding the price and replacing checkout with a quote request turns the catalog into a lead engine.

When hiding prices makes sense

  • Negotiated or contract pricing — where every account pays a different rate.
  • Made-to-order or configurable products — where price depends on the spec.
  • Trade-only ranges — where retail shoppers shouldn't see wholesale pricing.

Hide the price and the buy button — by rule

You want control, not an all-or-nothing switch. Hide prices and the Add to Cart button globally, or only for specific products, categories, user roles, or guests. That lets you keep a normal storefront for retail while trade products go quote-only.

Replace checkout with a quote request

Where the price used to be, show an "Add to Quote" button. Customers build a quote basket and submit their requirements; you respond with a priced, branded quotation and convert it to a paid order when it's agreed.

Restrict who can even request

If you run a trade-only catalog, require login or limit quote requests to specific B2B roles, so the flow stays clean.

Synova RFQ Pro includes hide-price and hide-cart controls with per-product, per-category, and per-role rules — see the hidden-price catalog use case, or the full Synova RFQ Pro listing.
